In its early days
TUFP had a national committee with representatives from affiliated
trade unions. Over the years the following unions have either
affiliated or provided broad support to TUFP:

NALGO |
NUPE |
ASLEF
NUM
FBU
NUT
GMB
PCS
GPMU
TGWU
MSF
UCATT
NATFHE
UNISON
NUJ
AUT
BFAWU

Unlike many other solidarity and campaigning organisations TUFP has
never benefited from a full or even part-time worker and relies
entirely on the voluntary efforts of its officials and contacts.
Having secured the major policy changes described above TUFP began to
operate more as a network of contacts who could be called upon when
required rather than a formal committee. Much of this work was
done in conjunction with TUFP's sister organisation, the Labour Middle
East Council. Yousef Allan was always TUFP's touchstone and when
his work took him to Ireland activity levels did drop, but political
support and the TUFP network remained intact.
